Question

I bought a mail-order wooden playset. My yard is not completely level. Any suggestions on how to go about leveling the ground. Also what kind of foundation should I put in for the swingset (i.e. woodchips etc.)

Maybe the easiset way to level the ground would be to cut the highs. Lay a level on a long board and remove unwanted dirt. After setting the swing set, filling the area with wood chips will provide some cusion should you childern fall.

Cool

If you can establish a level line across the center of the area you plan to put the swingset, dig the dirt on the high side of that line and move it to the low side to end up with a level area. I'm not sure if this answers your question so let me know. Put down a layer of landscape filter fabric or weed barrier under the layer of wood chips to keep weeds out and keep the chips from getting pushed down into the dirt/ mud beneath them. Now all you need to do is find someone with an extra barrel of elbow grease so you can get this work done!
