I want to build some barstools (with no backrests) for my kitchen counter. Is there anybody that knows of plans or sketches that could help me?

Sorry, I don't have any plans or leads on them. Have you looked around at local furniture stores to find the style you want to build? The style will determine the joinery that you will need to use to get a sturdy yet asthetically pleasing finished product. They can be as simple as a circle of plywood for a top (topped with foam and covered with fabric) with 2x2's for legs and dowels for rungs/ stretchers, or as complicated as having turned legs and mortise and tennon joinery. I would advise you to start with a style that is within your capabilities, based on your woodworking experience and the tools you have available. Feel free to come back as you work through your project and I will be glad to try to help further.
