Window apron return
Hello,
How do I make a return for a mitered window apron? I figured out how to do one with a 45 bevel on both sides but that turns out square. If I miter the apron I guess I need a compound cut for both sides? What would the miter and bevel angles be? Thanks for any help.

Hi dumontf, and welcome. For a couple of pieces, you are probably into the trial and error zone. Calculating out the angle would only result in testing to see if it fits anyway.
If I'm following where you are working, why the miter. Maybe I'm lost.

If I am following you correctly, determine the angle you want, divide it in half, cut the apron at that angle with the length marked on the lower side, swap the cut off pieces and cut them to length. Not sure why the return is necessary on the apron. Lotta work for little eye appreciation.
