What nail gun for fastening baseboard and shoe?

What is the best all round pneumatic nail gun size and nail for fastening baseboard and shoe? And where can I get the best price on one if possible. I already have an air compressor. I was thinking a 16 gauge perhaps. Do you have to buy the same brand of nails as the nailgun? Some are oil free is that a big deal?

Why are you re-asking the question....? Most of it has been answered here...

The best brand is the one that you can get repaired locally if needed. There are many tool sales sites as well as Amazon. No one brand is better..as has been posted..the Pro's often have several different brands..probably because they got a good deal.

Any nails that meet the spec for angle and gauge of the specific gun will be fine. If you buy a gun locally, then they will most likely have the nails you need.

Oil free means one less maintenance item...though they may be a bit more expensive.

Mea Culpa! I didn't realize this was the same website I posted in previously as I frequent several. Delete my post please.

Hammers have worked well for thousands of years.

I didn't say I always use a hammer, just that they are still available and still work for small jobs. I actually have several finish nail guns, I love my Paslode(NO CORD or air hose). But I often use a hammer for small jobs, works fine.
