Building a Decoy Dog... need some help

So this might sound a bit random but I am building a decoy dog that blows in the wind to try and help scare off the candian geese that are on my property.

I'm making the dog out of sheet plastic and need some help trying to figure out how I can attach a steel spring to the plastic dog. There will be a steak that goes in the ground that the spring will sit on top of.

Below is an example of what I'm trying to make. Any input would be great thanks.

Welcome to the forums! you could get a 16" piece of 2" wide steel bar, bend it double on itself and flatten it. Weld the bottom to the spring and set the dog in the slightly opened "clamp" of steel you made and drill a couple of holes in the strap and stove bolting it through the dog, trying to miss vital organs , and painting it along with the dog.
