Help building lightweight desk
I am looking for some guidance on a project I am starting in a couple of days...
I have just purchased a V-nose cargo trailer and would like to install a desk in the V-nose portion (inside). I will be putting 1 or 2 laptops on the desk and that's about it so I'm not concerned about holding lots of weight. However, given that it will be sitting on the trailer tongue, I want to keep my weight as low as possible.
I was thinking of using 2x2 for framing and then plywood (maybe 1/4) on top for the actual desk, then painting. Does this sound like a reasonable way to do it or is there something that might work better?
Also, given that it will be installed in the V section, any advice on how to find the correct angles for cutting my framing pieces under the tabletop?
Thanks for any input.
