Laminate Countertop Repair

My wife set an about 6" diameter burning hot pan on the countertop and created a burn spot about 1/2-3/4" across, and another bubbled up area that when opened and sanded will be about the same. Any recommendations for fixing up these spots?

Welcome to the forums! Laminate is basically irrepaieable once it is damagedas you have described. About the only suggestion I would have is finding a Corningware type cutting board insert, remove the rubber feet and glue it to the smoothed out countertop. It will hide the ares, provide a permanent cutting board, and a permanent hot pad.
