Temporary Room Divider
I'm moving into an apartment building with a long term plan but I want to create a partial room divider which won't go through any of the building materials (mainly the floor).
Divider similar to the photo shown:
I'm looking for suggestions to secure this in place without going into the floor. It will be built as an extension of the wall that's next to the fridge so I could mount some of it there, but I will need tension from the floor to ceiling and don't want it to move if it's bumped into.
Ideas?

Welcome to the forums!
First I'd suggest you look at wooden folding panel screens; they are self supporting and would make an easy divider; although they do take up a little more room than what you show.
If you want to try to duplicate that exact divider, I'd look at using wire shelf poles, such as those available from here: https://www.shelving.com/Chrome-Round-Posts-s/254.htm
You can get extension kits to add the necessary length, and adjustable feet that you could use on the bottom and top to wedge the unit between the floor and ceiling. I would use a 1x4 or the like along the ceiling and along the floor to spread the pressure so you don't damage either.
I'd probably use spacers cut from PVC pipe to hold the slats spaced correctly.

This is simply a decorative divider - it's going to give the space some visual interest as it'll block the view when entering the apartment instead of looking at the edge of a sofa.
Was hoping to make the support posts out of wood also so I can attach each horizontal divide with a small nail.

You can use wood closet rod, which should be strong enough and available in long enough pieces. Drill a hole in each end and insert a T-nut to provide threads. Screw in a heavy duty leg leveler and adjust the leg levelers to wedge the divider in place, as I described above....
Use a lightweight wood, like pine or poplar or cedar or cherry, for the slats to keep the weight manageable.

I made loft beds in college which used a threaded bolt to wedge a 2x4 against the ceiling for stabilization, sounds kind of like what Paul is proposing.
