Raising a bathroom vanity
Hi All,looking for suggestions on raising a contractor grade bathroom vanity,should I just raise the top or raise the whole vanity?

I would raise the top.
To raise the bottom you would need to extend the side panel(s) down, or set it on some kind of pedestal. That's fine if you intend to cover the bottom with base molding.
If you extend the top I recommend you get a counter with an overhang, but a flat top could work also.
When I need to hide build-up for a new counter top (which is often) I use molding.
You can use flat or slightly angled molding finished to match the cabinet.

In an ideal situation a kitchen cabinet base could have been used,but this is a spec. house and the extras add up.

I did that on my weekend rental cabin. I just can't stand those low bath vanities, so I bought a kitchen cabinet that had no drawers, just doors. I cut the back down from 24" to probably 19" and built my own tile countertop with a drop in sink.
