Kitchen Base Cabinet on Concrete Foundation

Hi. I am installing a kitchen base cabinet in a nook area on my one story home which has a concrete above grade slab.

As these have particle board sides, do I need to put plastic spacers underneath to avoid moisture from wicking into cabinet.

I don't have moisture problems, I am just thinking from mopping the kitchen or after a spill.

Am I over thinking this. Should I just put the cabinet down and screw it to the wall and be done.

Thanks

Concrete floors often aren't perfectly level/smooth. I've never know of anyone doing anything other than finding the high point and shimming the rest of the cabinets to match.

Best not to have untreated wood in direct contact with concrete. You can use composite shims to raise the cabinet, screw it off and then adjust the shims for a tight solid fit.
