bed frame

Hi all,
I need some advice on how to fix my bed frame. It is solid cherry wood and has a headboard and footboard. The frame has cracked and the grooves come out of the head board and foot board. I am not that handy, is there an easy solution that I can do in order to fix this?

What do you mean by "...the grooves come out..."?

I'm assuming they might mean the hooks on the ends of the bed rail ..... but pics and/or a better description would be nice.

In your first two photos you just need to re-hook the side rail into the headboard. You insert the metal tab into the top of the slot in the headboard then push it down. The slots in the metal tab will engage metal pins inside the headboard.

I don't know what you are trying to show with the next two photos.

The piece of wood that forms the "shelf" to support the mattress needs to be glued and screwed back onto the side piece.

Ok, thank you. Do you think that I need to buy/make more supports coming down from the center rail?
