base floor molding

I have to replace a few small areas of base molding (floor)- It's original to the house from the 70's. It looks like its about 2.5 inches tall (white)- I went to Lowes and Home Depot and they only look to sell molding that is wither 3.5" or larger. Do they not make it any longer? Where would I go to purchase?

Many houses built back then used a clam shell [also called sanitary] base board. You might check with stores that specialize in selling doors and trim.

If you can't find the smaller base, you just need a table saw to rip wider baseboard down to size.
