Cabinet door restraint cables

https://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Res...gateway&sr=8-3

I have a downward opening cabinet door in my RV and the little cables that prevent the door from fully opening have broken. I linked above what I want to make.

I want to be able to make my own cables, just like the ones linked above, as I want to be able to make my own lengths and the ones I am finding on Amazon and eBay seem crazy expensive for such a little cable. I can't find these little cables at my local big box home stores.

There has to be a way to make these little cables, right? Could someone give me suggestions on how to make my own?

Thanks!

Anything wrong with using a little small link chain and a couple screws?

You were on Amazon... try searching there. You can also look at any hardware store or home center. You can also order cable, the fittings and a crimper to make the cables if you want though a simple piece of chain would be less expensive and easier.

That's what I am trying to find.....thin cable and the little round fittings for the end. I have a crimper. HD and Lowe's don't have it. When I search on Amazon and eBay I'm obviously not entering the right keywords to find what I am looking for. Is there a little kit that you could link?

Any hardware store. The links will be smaller than your screw head.

Cool thanks. I'll start hunting at small hardware stores.

As X suggested any home improvement store should have what you need. We sell the cable and the eyelets all the time.
