Do PVC trims have any drawback, other than price?

They are moisture resistant, mold resistant, don't lose paint when scratched because u don't paint them, don't chip and even if they do it's not visual obvious.
Other than being more expensive than the cheaper wood, are there any other drawbacks.

IMO real wood looks nicer. I'd only use PVC trim on the exterior.

You can paint PVC but you are limited to lighter colors or ones that are vinyl safe. And you should paint it if you want to hide the fasteners. It expands and contracts far more than wood does.
