Cabinet door pulls installation

Hi. My wife got rustic black iron pulls for our kitchen cabinets and I installed them in the center of doors instead of the corner. Do people do it this way? I just heard you are suppose to put in corners and i think they look good in center but she is telling me now thatís not the way it should be.

Looks fine from here. The reason for mounting the handles lower on upper cabinets and higher on lower cabinets is to keep them closer to normal reach, with less stretching for the uppers and bending for the lowers. So it's more about functionality than aesthetics or what everyone else is doing, and if it works for you and your wife you're good to go.

I'm afraid your wife is correct. My wife would kill me if I did that. It is normal to mount them in the lower corner of uppers where they are more easily reached by shorter people. Then on the lowers they go in the upper corner so you don't get a sore back bending over so far.

Its not right but no sense changing your mind now... she wouldn't be happy with 2 holes in all the doors either, so she better get used to it.
