The hinge comes off the plate. I think it is a matter of just having each screw set to hold on to the face plate

The other hinges
I have a hinge in the kitchen thatís adjustable but every once in a while, detached from the face

That hinge is toast. I would replace them. Look for a 35mm face frame hinge. You need to know the overlay, so measure the cabinet door itself, then subtract the width of the opening, and divide by 2. (The overlay refers to the amount that the door covers the edge of the face frame.)

So you might find that it is a 1/2" or 3/4" overlay.

Then buy a new pair of 35mm face frame (fill in the measurement of overlay here). Blum is a good brand, a comparable hinge would be the Blum 39C. Just pay attention that you get the right overlay. Or you can get whatever the box store has, they will have them.

Thanks so much for the simple directions and tell me the hinge was garbage. Lowes sells Blum. HD sells everbilt. I think that is their brand.
