Remove Paint Smear without Damaging Cabinets

Hello, I have RUTT custom cherry cabinets with what I've been told is a catalyzed conversion top coat. The previous owner had several of these cabinets installed against a wall and did a less than stellar job painting. Thus, several of the cabinets have excess dried creme colored wall paint along the edges of the face of the cabinet. Do you have any suggestions for removing the paint without damaging the finish on the cabinet? Thank you in advance.

First thing I'd try is denatured alcohol on a rag, over a plastic putty knife. The denatured alcohol will soften latex paint but should not harm a catalyzed finish.
