Removing Wood Stain from Glass

We just finished staining and varnishing our windows. In the process some of the stain got onto the glass. Is there a safe (and easy) way to remove the stain from the glass without ruining the work we just completed?

I would try a very sharp razor blade. Try to get a regular single-edge razor blade rather than just a utility knife blade. Other method would be mineral spirits on a cloth, but be very careful and only use enough spirits to get the cloth slightly damp so as not to drip or run the spirits onto the woodwork. WD-40 will also probably take it off; same precautions as with the spirits.
