I am experiencing a problem trying to get rid of some stubborn stains in some of my clothing. The problem is compounded by the fact that I have absolutely no idea what caused them! The stains are a pale taupe color with a pinkish tinge. As soon as I put (diluted) bleach on them, they turn a rust color and appear more determined to stay put! (The stains have been "showing" up over the last two months or so!) Nothing I have tried has even lightened them. I am a baker by trade if this information may shed some light onto it. I do use berries, but theyre definitely not raspberry stains as these would turn blue when brought into contact with bleach, and the same goes for wine stains, which are relatively easy to remove. Nor do I think they're chocolate stains. Help!

Does anyone have any suggestions for me on how to clear a smudge of oil-based paint from carpet?
