latex paint on microfiber!!!

Okay, somehow paint got onto our microfiber sofa and we didn't notice it until the next day, after it had dried...It is just a small line, but in probably the most obvious place on the couch...The sofa is red so we're really nervous about discoloration. PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE help!

Some microfiber materials do not respond well to solvent cleaning. A solvent is what you are going to need to remove the paint. You may want to check with the store or any info. you got when your bought it. If that is no help. You may want to get a dry cleaning solvent...most stores that sell furniture usually also sell or know where to get the proper cleaning materials. Test any cleaning agent in a hidden area. As you indicated be careful due to the color. You may also want to try rubbing alcohol...that is also a solvent and doesnt require rinsing. But i think a dry cleaning solvent will be the best choice.

Before attempting any cleaning method, test first in inconspicuous place for ill effects on fibers and dyes before proceeding. Paint stains are best attended to while still fresh. Latex paint, which is water-based, can often be flushed or blotted with water from fabrics. Goof Off is often recommended for dried latex paint stains. Test first.
