Angry Permanent ink removal

My husband has just got permanent ink on his NEW white shirt and i dont know how to get it out. I have soaked it in cold water but would like some advice on the next step. Thanks

Permanent ink tends to be, well, permanent. I haven't tried it, but I have seen the recommendation of charcoal starter fluid, with the naptha in it being the ingredient that might help you.

Try doing a search in your favorite browser for a product called Pain Ink Grease...there are many out there. As indicated permanent markers tend to stick around. But there are some products out there that will work depending on how long and if the stain has been set by heat.
