blackcurrant stained carpet
my grandaughter spilleda large amount of blackcurrant juice on a new carpet a few weeks ago. its badly stained.
can anyone advise on how to remove it using everyday cleaners please

Stains are best attended to immediately before they set. If, as you say, a large amount was spilled and the stain is weeks old, a professional carpet cleaner is recommended.

Agreed with twelevepole...sounds like to me the spill is in the backing and/or padding of the carpet. DIY methods will most likely not get that out. Thus the spot will continue to return worse than before.
