Cleaning Rubber off Wool carpet

Over the weekend I had parents stay over and I warned them not to blow up the inflatable bed in the back room (cream wool carpet.) They went ahead and did so and the result is some dirty rubber marks where the pump was used.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Blot with white rag and solvent cleaner like rubbing alcohol, denatured alcohol, or dry cleaning solvent. Apply cleaner to rage and blot from outside stain toward middle to prevent spreading. Do not rub carpet fibers. Blot. Continue to blot until stains are removed.

agree with twelvepole....stick to the alcohol

avoid using any high pH chemicals and oxidizers....they will damage or destroy the wool...dont be afraid if the wool gives off a odd smell if wet...thats just how wool is

Regular rubbing alcohol from the drugstore is fine.
