Removing fabric dye from a leather couch

My boyfriend had a mexican blanket draped over his leather couch. The black dye from the blanket has left black spots all over the back of the leather couch. He tried leather cleaner, but that didn't work. He scrubbed a little too hard on one of the spots, and the leather color is coming off. What do we do now?

This is not going to be easy. First, dye stains can be difficult or even impossible to remove. To compound the problem, leather is tough t clean without ruining the leather. I would take this problem to a pro.
