Water Mark on Dining Table

I picked up my plastic wrapped newspaper of the driveway the other day and without realizing that it was a little damp on the bottom, threw it on the dining room table. It left a dull mark on the finish that I can't remove. Any ideas?

Good old fashion mayo will get out the stain. Let the dull area dry and then apply a film of mayo to the hazy stain, let it sit on stain but do not let the mayo dry. Wipe clean with a soft, white towel and the stain should disappear. I've used this method successfully on many occasions (sloppy party goers) and on dining furniture that is well over 100 years old...good luck.

Mixing some wood or cigarette ashes with mayo is often helpful. Rub in direction of grain. Often a little ammonia on a rag will remove water mark. If finish is damaged, it will require refinishing.
