Why is it so difficult to remove silicone sealant? I had to remove old (but still 'healthy' cured silicone sealant) between a foam (wetsuit-type material) and metal before replacing the foam. Any tricks anyone know of for future reference? I cut away as much as I could using a blade. But mineral spirits, paint thinner, laquor(sp?) thinner or gasoline just couldn't get rid of the remainder of it. Rubbing alcohol ended up getting rid of most of it, but there was still a residual amount left. I'm hoping that a little residual amount is okay, or I just wasted 4 hours of my life I won't get back. :(

Anybody know how to clean dust off of wood that has white paint on it? I have already tried WD-40, windex, and pledge and nothing is working!! Its basically stuck on there the only thing that gets it off is a brillo scratchless pad but it takes off some of the paint and isn't very easy to get off.
