Unhappy Help..Burnt Milk on Smooth top stove

Earlier today I let a pan of milk boil over onto my newer black smooth top stove. I have tried everything (that I know of) to remove the residue and cannot get it off. I am afraid I am going to scratch my beautiful stove. Any suggestions.
Thank you

Allow cleaning solution or paste to set on affected areas to give them time to do their job. Use plastic scrubbie or white Scotch Brite pad to agitate. Wipe with plain water to rinse. More stubborn areas can be removed with razor blade, taking care not to scratch stove top. Baking soda and water paste is usually quite effective for cleaning. Bon Ami, BarKeeper's Friend, and Zud are also effective powdered cleansers.
