Stains on ceramic tiles

I have a house with those tiny 1" ceramic tiles on the bathroom floor. Somebody dripped hair coloring on the tiles so now there's stains on the tiles and the painted walls that nothing seems to remove. Its easy enough to just repaint the walls, but I'm at a loss for fixing the floor. I'm not much of a handiwoman. Can I just install linoleum tiles over the ceramic?

if its older tile the dye may of been absorbed into the tile...they do make cleaning poultice for some stones that will help draw the stain out.. I would check at your local home improvement store for that. A solvent and a plastic putty knife may also help. Laying anything over the ceramic wouldnt stick correctly and it would so the tile gaps thru the new floor covering. If you do clean the tiles..I would suggest sealing the grout while you are at it.
