Removing cigarette smoke odor

I have a guitar gig bag that smells faintly of cigarette smoke. Not too bad, but I don't want my guitar in it. Any simple product (febreeze or similar) that will take the smell away? The bag is brand new and I'm guessing the owner smoked in his shop.

You can place a pie tin of baking soda, kitty litter, or activated charcoal in the guitar case and close it up. Coffee grounds are often recommended as an odor absorber. Airing outdoors in a safe location may help. There are many products marketed as sprays for eliminating cigarette odor, but many of these temporarily mask odors.
