Food stains on stipple/stucco/popcorn ceiling!
Yes. Please don't ask how it got there, I call it a culinary disaster.
The point is I have an egg, cheese and vegetable mix that ended up on my kitchen ceiling. Before I actually physically scrape the stipple off the ceiling, I figured I'd try to find a solution here.
Obviously this is quite a rush, as I don't feel like explaining how the food got there to every person who visits our house. Any help welcome.

I'd start by just picking off what you can by hand and fingernail. Any stain left behind will probably have to be covered with a sealing primer and painted.

I agree with Mitch, even a well painted popcorn ceiling isn't washable!
If the ceiling has never been painted and you don't wish to paint the entire ceiling, go to a real paint store and ask if they have a white that will match the popcorn - the touch up may still show but not as bad as pure white might.

Thanks for your input. I ended up scraping the stipple off. I'll try to touch it up. Repainting in the Spring anyway.
