Area Rug Cleaning

We have a pretty big rug over our laminate floor and was wondering the best way to clean it. I'm assuming steam cleaning would mess up the laminate beneath.

Thanks,
Chris

Laminate wood floors? Yeah. Probably. You wouldn't want to clean it on top of the floors. What kind of area rug is it? What does the cleaning instructions on the rug say? Sometimes DIY'ing it might ruin the rug.

The nice thing about an area rug is it can be moved and cleaned elsewhere.

There are spray foam upholstery and rug cleaners available. I believe Woolite has one.

if it is a expensive rug..i would call a pro..they will come remove the rug back to their shop clean and dry and bring it back

if it is a inexpensive rug...you can diy, but you assume the risk of damage...rugs respond much differently than carpet...knowing the make up of the rug can help...flip the corners back until you find the tag...should say 100 % of this or 80/20
