Question Butter Stain in Freezer

A stick of butter was accidentally left in a side by side feezer
section of the refridgerator.
This fridge has been in storage for about one year.
The melted butter has stained the door and bottom of freezer.
What can I use to clean and remove this stain.

The plastic portions of the door and shelves can be porous. A degreaser would first come to mind...did the dye from the wrap leave any marks?

Margarine contains yellow dye. As indicated, plastic is porous and absorbent. Many stains, especially dye stains, can be permanent. You may have success, or at least lighten the stain, with Goo Gone or Goof Off.
