microfiber & set-in chapstick

So, I know I'm pushing my luck trying to find a solution to this, but my 2 1/2 yr. old daughter decided to get into my purse and use the roll-on Blistex as a pencil on our new microfiber sofas. We didn't get the protectant when we bought them . We washed them and used Oxy-Clean, but it's as if we haven't tried anything. Is there a solution out there for getting this crap off my new couch even if it's set-in?

You just tried to clean grease with water. It takes a solvent to remove grease stains. Rubbing alcohol is the mildest solvent you should have in your household cleaning arsenal. Test first in inconspicuous area for ill effects on dye. Take a white rag and blot from outside stains toward middle to prevent spreading. Blot. Do not rub the fibers. This will be slow going. The length of the budding author's written story will be directly proportional to the amount of time it takes to remove the stains. If you value your time, you just might want to consider calling a pro.
