Basement Concrete Cleaning
Hi all,
Looking for a good method of cleaning up our new build house's basement. It still has a film of dried mud on the surface and I just want to clean it up so that I don't drag that dirt through the rest of the house. My first idea was to use a carpet cleaning machine from a local hardware store, but that won't really scrub the floor like it needs to be. A mop might be too much water. We are planning to purchase another dehumidifier unit anyway, but we don't want to introduce a significant amount of water: ie, no water spraying.
Thanks!

the rental carpet cleaning machine would be a waste of time and money...sweep it up best you can, vac it up with a shop vac....apply the water with a mop scrub it up with the mop or a deck brush and then shop vac it up...it shouldnt hurt to have that moisture down there just for that short amount of time..just dont soak anything like drywall, trim....leave doors or windows open if yours has them
