Question Super Glue on Countertop

Can you help me get dried super glue off of my solid surface counter top? This could save my teenage daughter's life! Thanks

cyanoacrylate glues (super glues) are sensitive to ketone solvents such as acetone or MEK. As long as your counter-top is a material that can withstand ketones, you can remove the glue residue with no problem. You'd need to test first before committing yourself, though.

DO NOT try using acetone or anything similar on solid surface. It'll leave a pitted surface which will have to be sanded out. In fact, sanding with wet or dry sandpaper in a circular motion will probably remove the glue, but you'll need to polish out the marks it leaves. Use green, red, and gray Scotch Bright pads in that order to restore the polish. Good luck
