How do you remove vaseline from fabric??

Hello all, I was so thankful to come across this site full of helpful and resourceful people--especially since I couldn't find an answer to my specific problem anywhere on the web. I used a spray on stain remover on my white duvet cover (:wall: so stupid and careless--it was just spaghetti sauce, I could've just washed it out) and it turned into a purple stain. I've put it in the wash now, not sure whether or not that will help, but I was hoping for further advice. It's urgent, as I'm staying in university housing and will be charged $30 if the stain is permanent. :( Thanks in advance for your responses!
