Hi all,
A couple of months ago I rescued a 4 year old Shihtzu. Now, I'm cleaning urine and poop just about every day. I'm renting and I have laminate hard wood floors throughout the home. It's about 2 years old. I've noticed in the area where she urinates the most, her "spot", there is black stained planks along the patio door. Also, my bookcase and filing cabinet has been tainted as well - both are wood. Is there any way I can remove those stains AND get rid of the odor that over powers my air fresheners and hit's me when I walk through my door? I've tried Lysol, Odoban with OxyClean, Swiffer with Febreeze, Pinesol...nothing seems to work.
I don't want to have to be charged by the landlord at the end of my lease and I don't know how much longer I can stand the smell. All help is greatly appreciated.

First off....be careful...you may have voilated your lease already...does your lease include pets? most do not and if they do there is usually an increase in rent and deposit
from what it sounds like the urine has soaked into the laminate planks....laminate is usually very easy to clean...so if normal cleaning will not remove its in the planks...my advise to you would be to decide weither or not you want to keep this dog
you may have to seal the bookcase to seal in the odor
