Cleaning copper range hood
I have a really old copper range hood that has lots of spots on it. I like the aged look of patina, but these are dark spots that are not attractive. Any idea on how to clean this. I've used commercial copper cleaner and also vinegar and salt. They cleaned everything , but the spots remain. Thanks for your help. Joan

I don't know if it would work the way you want, but #0000 (4 aught) steel wool might remove the spots. Try it first in an inconspicuous area to see. If it works and you like the look spray some clear lacquer on to help protect it. In lieu of steel wool, a gray (ultra fine) Scotch Bright pad might work. Good luck
