Rubbing alcohol is the best for removing ink, but not sure how it works on leather. You might want to test in an inconspicuous spot first to make sure it doesn't lighten the leather.
Your best bet might be to call in a pro that cleans leather.

This is a DIY site but leather cleaning is best left to the pros - it's just too easy to mess up and ruin the leather

Free advice is sometimes worth what you pay for it....but I have always found the the old style hairspray (like aqua-net) removed pen ink from clothes and fabrics....you of course want to try it in an inconspicuous spot first to make sure the leather wont lighten, but it was fairly safe on womens hair, so it might be worth a try....or you can call in the pro's....
Best of Luck....

There are serveral different types of leather...some sealed...some not so much. Chances are...if u did remove the ink..you are going to damage or create a clean spot there

Which you are not going to be able to reproduce over the entire piece. Call the pros
