Mildew on vinyl clad windows & wooden frame

Hi All. Son just moved out of his basement bedroom (oh darn, I think I'll miss him) & the window is obviously one place that was never cleaned. The vinyl & the wood are covered in mildew so I need expert advice on how to clean it before painting. I also plan on routing my dryer vent outside this year as I'm sure the extra moisture in the winter didn't help any. Thanks for your help.

vinyl sound be easy with a mixture of bleach and water and a scrubbie...the wood trim?? would need to be clean...sanded and painted or stained

If you dryer is a gas dryer...code will require it to be vented outside due to fumes

electric dryers can be vented inside with a dust catcher attached to the end of the hose...venting either inside in my thoughts is not a good deal..try to keep the length of the vent as short as possible...most will remove a window sash and install plywood and hole saw out for the vent and caulk around
