Slime in Sink! Please help!

I know that this is an unusual question, however, I have looked everywhere online and I need some help. Following eating, I place my dishes in the sink for about a day and then place them in the dishwasher. When I am loading the dishwasher, there is a thick, gooey, clear substance coming off of the dishes. I have no idea what this is and it scares the crap out of me. I don't know if its coming from the dishes, the food, or the water. Do you have any ideas? I don't even know where to start with this one. Thanks so much for your help!

a little bit of everything here...some of the food, water in the sink... I would rinse them off scrape them and just sit them in the dishwasher until ready to wash

get smoke smell out of air ducts

So my apartment reeked of smoke when I moved in, got rid of most of it. But I know it is still living in my air ducts. And with a baby on the way, and winter coming. I need to get rid of the smell. Is it something I can do myself?!?

terrible wet smell in house

Since the temperature of the outdoors has been consistently above 90 degrees, and we have had to have the house closed up with the air conditioner almost nonstop, we have had a musty smell similar to wet towels on one side of the house. The west side of the home does not smell, only the east. Our home is a slab home with no crawel space. I have cleaned and cleaned everywhere. We have had one day of rain in about a months time. Where is the smell coming from and who do I call to check?
