Self Tanning Stain in Hair

Help. I inadvertently got some self tanning cream in my hair around the hairling. I has turned the gray streaks brownish orange. How do I get it out?

Welcome to the forums

That stuff stains - you may have to bleach the hair

They sell hair color remover. Don't know if it'll work, but won't be as drastic as bleach. On the other hand, I would think it would wash out over time.

I have no familiarity with hair color remover but it sounds like a good idea

It might wash out after a while, certainly the easiest option to try

If it were me, I'd probably just take a pair of eyebrow scizzors:

and clip off the stained hair.

It's the roots at the hairline, not the ends. That's an awful suggestion. You're telling them to shave the front of the head.

Hmmm. The front of the head... Wouldn't that be the face?

No, I'm not telling her to shave her face. I'm telling her to clip the stained hairs along her hair line to get rid of them.

They'll grow back. Promise.
