Question

I have a slight rust stain on my new fiberglass tub. Someone left their wet jeans in the tub and the button left a stain. Does anyone know how to get it out?

Try a product called C-L-R, calcium, lime, and rust remover. Available at all big box stores.

Wink pretty potty!

i am making the same suggestion as i did jan. Pretty Potty can be poured into your tub. let it set for a few minutes and use a scrub brush on stain. rinse tub. BE SURE NOT TO CONTACT WITH SKIN!

Lime Away

I used LIME-AWAY ... its the calcium, lime, and rust remover that is mentioned above (same ingredients) and works great. We can get it in our local grocery stores, Home Depots, Lowes, etc.

Most people do not have access to hydrochloric acid. That is a good thing!

Hydrochloric acid will remove the stain, but also remove any metal piping in your drain system. It is highly corrosive, and can cause severe burns or blindness.

I would strongly not recommend this as a solution.
