Blood Stain on Viscose Foam Mattress

My granddaughter had a nosebleed when she spent the night and it has stained my brand new viscose memory foam mattress. I'm concerned that anything I do to try to clean this will only make it worse, and make the stain spread. Anybody have an idea?

My husband's solution was to flip the mattress - but then he's also the one who changed the sheets and didn't put the mattress pad back on, which is why the mattress got stained in the first place. Help.

I see no way that's coming out.
Might try Hydrogen Peroxide, it gets blood out of carpet.
No I did not kill anyone, I cut my dogs nail to close.
Just pat it, do not rub it in.

My wife says the same thing, peroxide and blotting it up.
Like your husband, I'd just turn it over or forget it about once the mattress pad is back on covering it up

Joe, is that the SWAT team I see circling your house

Yeah, peroxide is the best thing for removing blood. However, the longer it sits, the more difficult to get out. Unless I can get it right away, especially if it's dense, it sometimes no longer comes out.

I have had luck with Oxyclean as well. Make a loose paste and blot it in, then a clean wetter cloth to daub it all up.
