This one is a to clean up this mess

Had an old bottle of Bruce "Fresh Finish" floor polish. Never used it and it must have eaten through bottom of bottle and YAY! dripped all over my lineoleum in our laundry room. SWEET MERCY! What a MESS! Any idea on cleaning this up short of installing new linoleum? Tried mineral spirits (not 100% sure how to use this?Do I let it sit?) Hot water...peels off a little, but would take a week at this rate.
Thanks in advance!

Well, that's a urethane type finish so if it has dried/cured I doubt anything you could use will remove it without harming the underlying linoleum. I'm basing that on what I found for polyurethane glues and urethane adhesives.

Heat and mechanical means would be my first steps.

BTW, I doubt it ate through the bottle, more likely it had a small crack when it was stored.
