Cool Sealing the wood

I have a new outdoor swing with table. The wood is "imported hardwood". Florida sun will be beating down on it constantly. What is the best product to seal it with to keep it looking good? The only product I know of got really bad reviews.

Thanks for your help.

Latex deck stain would be my choice. Sikkens, Cabot, Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore all get quite a bit of endorsement here.

Nothing will hold up long term in the intense fla sun

Water based coatings tend to hold up better than oil base in the sun. Generally the more a coating costs the better it will hold up but I would expect the top to need cleaning and recoating every 1-3 yrs.
