Toilet Bowl Stains

I have been having problems with stains forming inside our toilet bowl. After a thorough cleaning, the stains reappear after a week or two. I have tried adding bleach, vinegar and a number of products found in Home Depot to the bowl and tank. Nothing seems to work.

I posted a photo here:

Does anyone know of a product that will do the job?

If that was happening in my house I'd be testing the water. A stain that ugly would be concerning, especially if it was the same water you are drinking!

Looks like what my bowl water looks like after I use a pumice stick. I bet you are getting silt and other solids in the supply. Well or municipal water? Ohhh...Staten Island...never mind I guess it's city water. If it's an apartment complex it might be from old pipes.

My "go to " cleaner of choice.... remove the lid of the tank and pour the entire bottle down the fill tube. It will come out the holes under the rim and clean the entire bowl.
