Getting rid of water stain ?
I made a mistake. I should not hand tighten the bathtub drain.
It started leaking today (2 months after installation). I resealed and tightened it with the wrench this time. The temperature will get up to 110 within the next few days so it will dry out soon.
Is there a way to get rid of the stain mark ? with minimum labor?
Thanks

Looks like condensation from the air conditioning vent. Zinsser BIN white pigmented shellac is what you want to use as primer. Then paint it.

I would have suggested an oil based primer but what's important is that this must be primed with a sealing primer before painting and latex primers aren't up to the task, IMO.

Water stains can sometimes be lightened by cleaning but I wouldn't trust cleaning alone to keep it from bleeding thru the next coat of paint. A solvent based primer insures that the stain will be sealed and not bleed thru latex paint.
