Vinyl window film
Can anyone tell me the best procedure to clean vinyl window film that is exposed to the weather so it doesn't streak???

The window film I recently applied recommended standard window cleaner like Windex, etc. but cautioned to use soft cloth or microfiber to avoid any abrasion of the film that would cause clouding..

It sounds like you are referring to the vinyl film that you apply directly to the glass window. I am talking about a vinyl film that is used as the window. Please correct me if I am wrong in my assumption....thanks

Yes, my film is applied on glass.
Not sure what a vinyl window film used as a window would be except that used for weatherproofing (draft control) usually used to prevent heat loss and usually installed on the inside of a window with adhesive strips along the perimeter.
Plexiglass or Lexan are not film but plastic glazing. Again use only non abrasive cleaner and cloth to clean. Will not remove any yellowing that might have occurred.

It's often called clear marine vinyl, and when it gets too dirty, scratched or faded you replace it.
Just like lexan or acrylic, (plexiglass) anything abrasive used on it will scratch it and will eventually make it cloudy.
