Solution mix to help with mold

I've looked at that wet an forget stuff to use on vinyl fence an wondered if it really works.
I saw a clip online about using copper sulfate an water in a specific mix as being the same ingredient also. I am concerned on its effects on any screws though.
I'm gonna try the mix on a side piece of vinyl an see what it does after a while in the shade.
Has anyone tried that for inhibiting the growth for a little while at least .?
I've also used borax/baking soda /an washing soda to do it [a proper mix] an that worked for a while too.
Any info/tips is appreciated

In my opinion...... there are many cleaners/solutions you can use but none are really going to retard mold growth. Usually an annual cleaning with soap and bleach cleans it.

i used the wet n forget when it came on the market a few years back. I had tried many things on my vinyl siding, but nothing worked really well. The wnf worked really well, but it is not a fast process... put in on and wait for a month, reapply, check again in a month. It kept the fungus off well and I'd just reapply it yearly.

I've always used a bleach/water solution for cleaning mildew and minor mold, just spray it on, let it set but not dry and rinse. Stubborn areas or major mold may require scrubbing. This method is both cheap and effective.

I've done my research an will make a mix with this .
-same ingrediants an anti fungal /anti algie/mold properties as wet n forget an I can make it as weak or stronger. Its 3 times stronger concentration .
Much less in cost too an 1 bottle does a LOT more! Higher concentrations also.
15 to 1 on mix instead of 5 to 1 like wet n forget ...

It's the HTH Algie guard 30 for pools .

Active ingredients: Alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides 15%, -Same exact chemical !

10 bucks !
I'll kill an remove the old deep growth before I apply it!
